Join the Search for Newts!

Saturday 9 March, 2pm-8pm

You may know that The Gravel Pit pond has housed a very healthy population of Great Crested Newts in the past. A few years ago the numbers were seen to fluctuate and we would really like your help to monitor the situation. As part of the HLF project to enhance the pond for wildlife, we are able to offer a day of free training with one of Kent's leading experts on all things amphibian; Dr Lee Brady from the Kent Reptile and Amphibian Group.

The training day will be held at the Lamberhurst village hall & The Gravel Pit where you can learn all about these fascinating creatures and how to search for them!

Coming soon...

The HLF Jack Frost's Footsteps Launch day! This will be a traditional Kentish celebration of all things Lamberhurst. Date in April to be confirmed very soon!

Do you have what it takes?

The Friends of Lamberhurst and Hook Green have been doing a fantastic job of managing the Common Land. I would like to ask if there is a volunteer who feels they might be able to lead the groups on small scale task days? If you think this is something that might interest you then please call me for an informal chat.
